I know! I haven’t changed a bit!

Last week, I wrote about decluttering photo prints.

Mainly about how EASY it was to jettison ten per cent of my prints

(because it was the second time I’d been through them in the last few years).

The joy of getting rid – and the space it freed up – wasn’t the only benefit though.

Far from it!

After I’d pushed through my initial reluctance…

…I LOVED doing it.

I’d arranged to meet friends on Sunday afternoon…

…and even though I had a great time with them…

…I found myself looking forward to getting back to my photos!

Because the BEST thing about it…

…was all the gems I found.

Photos I ADORE but which sit in an envelope in a box…

…for years…

…without being looked at…

…or shared.

I’m 19 in that photo above. Aaaaawwwww!!

If ever there was an example of how decluttering unearths buried treasure

…sorting through photo prints is it!

So I didn’t just chuck out my unwanted photos…

…I also digitised those treasures.

(Here’s how I did it).

Now I’ve got them on my phone…

…so I can look at them whenever I like.

And I can do all the amazing things we can do with digital photos…

…including removing spinach from my teeth in a couple of shots!

And, as I did it, I WhatsApped photos to friends and relatives…

…starting a myriad of joyful conversations.

You see, decluttering and organising is as much about making the most of your treasures…

…as it is about getting rid of your junk.
